Back to the 1970s

Well, my liberal (and Liberal) friends insist that the 1980s were dreadful.

Thus, the 1970s were superior.

So why not go back there?

Colby Cosh has a droll take: “What COULD account for the Liberal platform looking exactly as if the party’s leader had skipped out during the ’70s? We may never know.”

Anyway. Harper’s got a lousy Clintonesque micro-credit platform, but that should beat the return to the ’70s… Right?

Actually, things didn’t start to really suck until the Berlin Wall fell. The capitalists and their lackeys took that as a signal that it was open season on the working class.

Clintonian tax credits over Trudeauvian dirigisme FTW!

Yeah, the seventies were great. I lived at home with my parents and they paid all the bills.
